Why 'screen free'?

This is not just about smartphones, it is about any screen which has been attention-engineered to steal our attention.

We believe the norms around these products needs to shift, particularly where the outcome affects health, wellbeing and development.

Though this issue is particularly stark for children, we believe that most adults also need to shift their own norms around the use of addictive screens.

(And our research suggests most adults agree!)

The Screen Free project aims to collate resources which help people to live more intentionally, deeply and freely.
